Journey To Relaxation

During this listening relaxation recording I focused on every word the speaker was saying. This helped me to get the full experience of learning to have my body relax. As I sat at in my computer chair and kicked my legs up I focused on the light relaxing music that was playing, this helped my body to calm down to a more restful state. Once the speaker began talking about letting the blood flow from my stomach into my arms and hands I immediately felt a warm heavy feeling throughout my arms, hands, and fingers. This did not take long for me to feel and the more the speaker talked about the blood flowing to my arms and hands the heavier and warmer I felt. When the speaker told me to lift my arm, it was very difficult because it seemed like my arm weighed much more than it did. At the end of the recording I did feel energized, relaxed, and my mind seemed focused.
Overall this listening experience was very relaxing and an eye opener of how the power of suggestion is very powerful.

  1. Nellie,

Wasn't that amazing! I have done these before and new that it works. I hold all of my tension in my shoulders so this worked really well for me. I have also learned from doing these before that you need to recognize when your mind begins to wander and reel yourself back in. This happened to me a couple of times.

I am glad you had such a positive experience.

  2. Nellie, I could not lift my arms either!! It was the coolest thing, and I have never felt so relaxed, and then energized afterwards. I remember that I wasn't having a very good morning - physically or mentally - but, after he gave the instruction that we should feel energized, low and behold, I DID! Was the coolest thing ever! I'm so glad that you had a great experience with it, too. :)

  3. Hi Nellie,I was a major eye opener for me also. I have heard of these types of things where our minds can control our bodies but never had the real experience. I am glad I got to try this out and I will be using it until I can no longer log in to our unit 2 lol.
